My first time to Osaka and I do have to say it wasn't what I expected. It definitely was a lot more touristy than I thought it would be. The first stop we went to was HORAI 551, which is a popular steam pork bun/shumai chain in the Kansai area. These little guys were about the size of a tiny shot glass. We noticed a lot of the locals lining up to buy these! ¥600 = $5.40

^SHRIMP SHUMAI^ SALTY AND EASY TO EAT, IDEAL FOR SOMETHING TO EAT ON THE GO! THEY ALSO HAVE STEAMED PORK BUN WHICH IS POPULAR

Every time I go to Japan I always have to stop by ICHIRAN RAMEN. This ramen shop has dividers for each person but if you do wish to dine with the person next to you, you can unlatch the dividers! Its always consistent and you can customize your ramen from the firmness of the noodles to the thickness of the broth. Don't worry about the language barrier, theres a sheet you mark up on how you want your ramen done!

If you've ever been to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS in Florida, it is nearly identical to the one in Osaka, expect the food is better! I would also recommend spending the extra money and buying the Express Pass because it will save you so much time!

^SANTA DEMINION STEAMED CREAM BUN^ Reminiscent of a pork cream of mushroom, lots of gravy in that steamed bun!

When in Osaka, one of the most visited area to visit is Shinsaibashi. It was not my favorite part of Kansai because it was filled with tourists. Our hotel was located right in the heart of it and there were a few shops that we stopped by for sweets which were STRAWBERRY MANIA for the berry lover and PABLO for the cheesecake lover! Both within a block away from each other!
