Since we were all the way in Hong Kong we decided to check out the GREAT WALL OF CHINA, which is located in Beijing. Roundtrip tickets were $212 on Air China and it was about a 3.5 hour flight from HKG to PEK. We got an AIRBNB which was on the outskirts of the city which made it very difficult to get a taxi because no one wanted to pick up our rides. We used DiDi which is mainland China's version of Uber. I highly suggest to stay within the main area of the city so that you are close to the main attractions.

We visited the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall because it is the least visited area, we really wanted to avoid the crowds and I highly recommend it!

To be honest I did not care for the food in Beijing, most of it was flavorless expect for this beef noodle soup that we ate in this random restaurant that was about 15 minutes walking distance from our airbnb. I do have to say that the food was cheaper here than in Hong Kong.
