Part 2 of Quintana Roo's adventure was galavanting in Tulum! It totally reminded of the North Shore if you guys ever been to Oahu. Super hippie-like, lots of yogis and a handful of vegetarian friendly restaurants there. Some of the best fruits I've had was in Tulum. I decided to splurge on an eco resort (AZULIK) while there, which was like staying in an adult treehouse! I paid a whopping $600 a night for an oceanfront view and it was worth every single penny! It was absolutely breathtaking waking up to the sunrises! Before settling into our room, we had a "welcoming cleanse" in which one of the staff members held an incense and did a chant. It was to let go of bad intentions and aspired to have a relaxing time.

Of course we had to go to the Tulum ruins, it is the 3rd most visited site in all of Mexico! It's said to have been inhabited by the Mayans as early as 564 A.D. It was amazing to see the fortress in decent shape for how old it was.
