MY FIRST CRUISE

About two weeks ago I went on a carnival cruise for a bachelorette party. Congrats Kirsti! 🍾

All the food was free on the ship, cool right? Not. On the first day it’s not all that bad but by the 2nd day you are over the food. Lol I never ate a piece of bread that was so tasteless. It literally had no flavor at all. It honestly tasted like microwaved food. Maybe because this cruise was the cheapest of Carvinal you get what you pay for I guess.

While in Ensenada, we decided to do an ATV wine tour at El Cielo, which was booked through the carnival cruise website. It costed $95 and it included transportation, atv, and wine tasting. When we first arrived at the winery we were given 15 minutes of free time to use the restroom or check out the winery’s shop while they set up the ATVs. In total riding time we did about 30 minutes then we went down to the "dungeon" where we drank a chardonnay, cabernet, and pinot noir. After the tour we had an option to get dropped off in downtown or back to the ship. We choose the town.

In Ensenada it was extremely touristy and you can definitely haggle prices for goods there. Everybody raves over the sea urchin totasda over at La Guerrerense and it was alright. I've had better $5 tostadas. In fact I was shocked it was $5! Tourist trap for sure. The trip was 3 days, it left Long Beach around 5:00pm Thursday and woke up to being in Ensenada at 8:00am and had til 6:00pm to be there. The next day was spent being on the ship while at sea and Sunday we arrived at 8:00 am. *A HUGE TIP FOR YOU GUYS* When disembarking from the ship, they will call you by your "muster stations" but being the impatient people that we are, we decided to just start waiting in line instead of waiting to get called to leave and we were able to get by!
